Sisvel

Project Description

Challenge

Announce Sisvel's 3DZ tile format technology for back-end broadcast data at the 2013 International CES trade show in Las Vegas. Sisvel, an Italian company, faced any number of challenges with getting the announcement through the "noise" of CES, including lack of available spokespersons and the trade show press emphasis on consumer based product launches.

Strategy

Honing down the audience potentially interested in Sisvel, and inviting them for private demonstrations, was the first round of outreach. The Sisvel booth allowed for quiet one-on-one discussions with the 3D blogging press, who appreciated a place to sit for a while, enjoy an espresso, and dive a bit deeper into the Sisvel story.

Once the bloggers were on board and talking about 3DZ online, the tech press followed suit and created a wave of interest. Day two of CES saw the wide distribution of a press release and drove the curious into the Sisvel booth. Live demonstrations of 3DZ included allowing the media to film and view themselves in 3D on big screens. The announcement of a new CEO of Sisvel (SpA - Italy) on day four continued the momentum.

Results

LCI pitched over 500 media attending International CES on behalf of Sisvel. Activities also included the distribution of 2 press releases over Business Wire (3DZ Tile Format and CEO announcement) which garnered more than 850 media clips. Sixteen plus media interviews (including CNET and Beet.tv) kept the Sisvel spokespersons busy. LCI also coordinated press room materials on-site at CES.

Coverage included Yahoo! Finance, Marketwatch, HI-FI Gadgets, San Francisco Chronicle, CNNi Report, Houston Chronicle, Digital Trends, Houston Chronicle and many more.
